The Mountain



Mountains are beautiful, massive and majestic towering structures. They possess a beauty and prominence unlike anything else on earth. The mountain is also a symbol of adversity, trials and tribulations. Both figuratively and literally, a mountain can be a safe haven or the biggest obstacle you will ever face.   

 

Magnificent things happen on the mountain. We overcome obstacles, conquer fears, and win battles. We learn to press through, press on and find our inner strength on the mountain.  Safety and refuge are found on the mountain. Pushing past adversity and clawing your way up to the top makes you stronger. When you are weak, you are made strong on the mountain. 

 

GOD is with us on the mountain. He draws us closer to Him. He lovingly leads and protects us along the journey. By His grace, we are given the strength and endurance to forge ahead and overcome all obstacles. We find inner peace on the mountain. 


We shall find victory on the mountain.

The road to success can be stinky at times especially when you fall into a funk and begin to grow stagnant. But only when you forge ahead and push through the slump you can see the fruit of your labor. The funk will begin to fade and that stench with be replaced with the sweet smell of success. WOW its been a while since I posted! Way too long!

I took a long HIATUS and now I'm back! I've been away on a long (extended) journey of growth and self discovery. During my time here in the Atlanta area I've been through some storms trials and tribulations but it has all been purposeful. This journey has brought me closer to the LORD. My spiritual life is where I've seen the most growth. What has helped me along this journey is finding a solid church home. I found a wonderful church in the Atlanta area named Elizabeth Baptist Church and it has been life changing. And as a bonus I sing on the praise team and I'm no longer scared to death sing in front of people!! (This has been a crippling problem for me. It stopped my from pursuing so many of my dreams)  I'm not where I used to be and I'm so happy and grateful for that!Another great accomplishment is that I don't depend heavily on the approval and the validation of others.  My identity is no longer determined by my outward appearance and fancy clothes
